Bernard Estardy- Tic Tac Nocturne/Gang Train

From the LPs Electro Sounds Volume 2 (1973) & Claviers (1974)

FRANCE

A couple of tracks courtesy of Bernard Estardy from two releases on the French library label Telemusic. Rather than accomplished LPs,  Telemusic's library LPs are a series of concept album sessions that were used for TV and Radio. The sessions brought together extremely tight session players to provide the arrangements, including musicians from successful chart group Voyage who experimented with their cosmic synth funk. Estardy was similarly involved with  releases "Piano et Orgues 1 & 2" (1970/71), "Electro Sounds" (1971), "Electronics" (1975) and Claviers 2 (1976).  In 1971 he released what can be considered his only LP, the highly regarded "La Formule Du Baron" which was reissued in 2011 on the excellent Vadim Music label (unfortunately the website was hacked and down for maintenance since). That record is mostly brilliant and needs listening to if you haven't heard it.  I say mostly as I think a couple of tracks let it down on the second side. It's also always stated as a concept album which I guess has something to do with the Baron moniker but there's nothing stated as to what the concept actually is?
"Tic Tac Nocturne" was sampled by the Chemical Brothers on "My Elastic Eye"
